Steelfest is an extreme metal festival held annually in Hyvinkää, Finland. Since 2012, Steelfest has showcased a carefully selected lineup of Black, Death, and other underground metal bands from around the world. The festival is held at former wool factory whose industrial architecture and historical atmosphere provide a fitting backdrop for the festival. Hyvinkää is conveniently located 30-55 minutes north from Helsinki and Helsinki-Vantaa international airport. The venue itself is an old wool factory, which lays agloomyset-up and atmosphere for the extreme metal bacchanal.
To and from Hyvinkää :
- 40 - 55 minutes by train from Helsinki-Vantaa international airport.
- 35 - 45 minutes by train from Helsinki main railway station (trains also after last bands back to Helsinki)

AT THE FESTIVAL
SECURITY CHECK
Festival security personnel will check you at the security check before entering the festival area.
CLOAKROOM
You can leave your belongings in the cloakroom INSIDE of the festival area. See “prohibited items”
PROHIBITED ITEMS
Bringing your own alcohol beverages to the festival area is prohibited. Bring your own alcohol and you will be kicked out without warning.
Check will be in effect upon entering the festival. You can bring one transparent, unopened plastic bottle of non-alcoholic beverage, or transparent and empty plastic bottle per customer. Max. size 0,5 litres. Security is allowed to forbid suspicious bottles. All things that can be considered dangerous are strictly prohibited, at the security personnel's discretion. It’s not allowed to bring you pet to festival area.
PAYMENT METHODS AT THE FESTIVAL
To buy food, drinks and official festival merch: We accept credit & debit cards and cash. Vendors on the festival are might accept just cash. So, CASH IS THE KING.
CIGARETTES & OTHER NICOTINE PRODUCTS
We do not sell cigarettes or other nicotine products in festival area.
STEELFEST FOOD – FLAMES, SMOKE & FLAVOR
Fries, sausage & potatoes, heavy pans, vegan diet, desserts – the basics are covered. But there's more.
CAMERAS & RECORDING
During gigs keep your smartphone on your pocket and enjoy. If you have infernal need to take pictures of the gig, do it during first song. Pocket cameras & cell phone cameras are allowed under same strong advice.
FIRST AID
There is a first aid point at the festival area, which will serve during festival opening hours.
LOST & FOUND
During the festival, ask for your lost items from tickets sales booth. After the festival, all uncollected lost & found items will be delivered to the Hyvinkää police station lost property.
ONE ENTRANCE PER DAY
Our festival operates on a one-entry-per-day policy. As festival is located right in the heart of the city, we aim to minimize all disturbances both within the city center and in the vicinity of the festival grounds. This rule is not enforced arbitrarily, but specifically to maintain a peaceful environment outside the festival, allowing us to continue hosting events at this venue in the future.
